WHAT IS THE TITANIC FROZEN CUSTARD & CHOCOLATE ATTRACTION CONCEPT?
One of the experiences all England & France had in common at the close of the Edwardian period was a sweet-tooth…especially silky, creamy custards and chocolates.
White Star Lines wanted to make these delicious luxuries available to their Titanic passengers in celebration of their journey…just as our Titanic Frozen Custard & Chocolate Attraction does in celebration of visitors’ journey to the Titanic Museum Attraction.
IS THE CUSTARD ATTRACTION PART OF THE TITANIC MUSEUM ATTRACTION?
YES.
The landmark, ship-shaped Titanic Museum is the anchor building of the growing Titanic Attraction enterprise. Its mission is to HONOR, RESPECT and pay TRIBUTE to all onboard the RMS Titanic.
The Titanic Frozen Custard and Chocolate Attraction is a complementary annex of the main Titanic ship-shape structure built in response to guests’ request for a yummy, refreshment parlor they could visit before or after their Titanic Museum tour!
WHAT INSPIRED THE “LOOK” OF TITANIC’S CUSTARD SHOP?
The “Look’ was inspired by vintage, commercial French architecture found in Cherbourg, France where TITANIC stopped to pick-up 274 passengers on her way to New York. Titanic’s Frozen Custard attraction and the adjoining Titanic Museum share a unique, complementary style that reflects the Golden Age of travel.
WAS FROZEN CUSTARD SERVED ON TITANIC?
Frozen custard didn’t exist in 1912. Traditional, French custard was served to Titanic’s 1st Class passengers, American ice cream was served in 2nd Class and 3rd Class had pudding. The creation of Frozen Custard has been attributed to two American brothers, Archie and Elton Kohn.
They introduced their frozen delight on the Coney Island (New York) boardwalk in 1919. The first weekend they savored the sweet taste of success by selling over 18,000 cones.

We offer assorted grab & go food items including 3 fresh sandwiches; chicken salad, turkey wrap and an Italian club. Refreshers, and coffee drinks as well as an assortment of chocolate candies are available.
WHO IS OFFICER BUSTER?
Officer Buster is Titanic Museum’s Goodwill Ambassador, a whimsical super-heroic figure imagined by Titanic President and Co-owner Mary Kellogg Joslyn. This cool champion of good deeds is the welcoming face of Titanic’s sweet attraction.
Plus, Officer Buster is part of our Titanic Museum Educational Program in the schools. Visitors will find him within the ship with our Trivia Questions throughout the ship.
IS TITANIC’S FROZEN CUSTARD & CHOCOLATE ATTRACTION OPEN TO THE PUBLIC?
Yes, the public is welcome. No entry fees.
